The Pebley Beach Group has Suzuki and Hyundai dealerships in the West Swindon Motor Park, Paddington Road, and a Suzuki dealership in Cirencester.
The firm started as a coach company in the 1930s based in Purton. It was based around a pond which had a small beach area with pebbles on – hence the name Pebley Beach.
The firm moved to Wroughton in the 1950s taking over the Wroughton Engineering Works and then the company was sold in the 1980s and various petrol stations were acquired and the Wroughton development was given a revamp, including a car showroom.
In 1997 the company focus changed to franchise dealerships and all makes car maintenance and MOTS and has gone from strength to strength.
We have been awarded Dealer of the Year award on numerous occassions (most recently Dec 2011) and our technicians & Sales staff have won various awards including - Technician of the Year. We have represented Team GB Hyundai & Team GB Suzuki in their respective World Skills olympics held in Korea & Japan.
Alot of our employees are "Home grown" - we currenly have 10 apprentices or ex-apprentices working for us, and we believe this is a significant part of the Pebley Beach culture.
